If there’s one thing I love, it’s food. We’re always looking for new places to eat and new food to try. We want to keep things fresh or to find better restaurants. Going out and trying every restaurant isn’t practical though, so you a useful list of great recommendations always comes in handy. This is such a list. One place I’ve heard that’s definitely worth checking out for some great Mexican is Mariachi in Edinburgh. Found in Victoria Square in Old Town, it’s a family run establishment that has been open for over a decade. Using locally sourced ingredients, they can provide you with fantastic burritos, nachos, chilli con carne and fajitas, as well as serving a host of Mexican beers. They have lunch menus and pre-theatre menus, so its worth visiting at any time of the day. You can reserve a table and their Birthday Club makes it great place to celebrate. If we’re ever up in Edinburgh we’ll definitely be visiting.
If you live near Liverpool, then your top destination for Mexican is Savana. Located in Hudson Gardens in Due Street. This vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurant has been open since 2006 and has earned a fine reputation. A trendy place to enjoy your favourite Mexican dishes, the team will work hard to make your meal memorable. They regularly run special offers such as their ‘graduates eat free’ scheme and they provide catering services. If you’re in Leicester Square, London and want some of the best Mexican food in the UK then you should go directly to Leicester Square Kitchen. Whether alone or in a party, you can enjoy quality dining services and taste their selection of Mexican and Peruvian cuisine. There’s ‘à la carte’, private dining, special events, offers, reservations, special menus for group dining and more which allow you to customise your experience. They are open seven days a week with breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
For fans of Mexican food in Wales you have Wahaca Cardiff. This restaurant in The Hayes was established to bring true Mexican cuisine to the UK. They boast a bunch of awards that show off their expertise and promise. It’s a stylish place to grab a quick meal or to settle down with friends and there’s a cocktail bar upstairs (winner!). Call in Monday to Saturday 12pm-11pm or 12pm -10.30pm on Sunday or book a table in advance. They concentrate fully on sustainability and it shows in their food.
