Little Loves | A Car Crash, No Offence & Gym Wear

It’s week two of Little Loves and I’ll be honest, I’m stuck for a good title and things to put under the headings. It’s just been yet another week of illness in this house and quite honestly it’s hard finding the little things to love¬†when you’re stuck in this vicious cycle.

This week I’ve been reading a lot of Living Arrows posts but I’ve also been trying to make my way through the book I’m reading so that I can actually start my reading goal of ‘one book a month’. I’d really like to set aside some time every week to make the effort to read more blog posts, and actually not just read but comment as well. I really want to engage with the community more this year so reading blogs is a big thing for me.

YES! ‘No Offence’ is back on the telly box on Channel 4 and Jamie and I have managed to catch up. We absolutely loved it last year and, so far, this year is no different. If you’ve not watched it before, you really should! It’s a drama but with lots of comedy in it and it’s definitely our kind of thing.

I’ve also been watching the new four part drama ‘Delicious’ over on Sky 1 which stars Dawn French and Emilia Fox. Jamie lost interest during the first episode but I’ve stuck with it as actually, it’s pretty good and it’s only four episodes. There’s not really much else I’ve watched this week to be honest as I’ve been working or had a couple of early nights.

This week I’ve made lots of plans for my meal plan. I want it to carry on right up until we go skiing in just under 4 weeks time and I’m also planning for the week after we get back as I’ll do an online shop to be delivered when we get home. Literally, it’s just been about making provisions for the coming weeks but I think I’m there. Just.

I really want to try and make some bread next week but it’s all about finding the time. I at least want to use my new Kitchen Aid that I got for Christmas, so if it isn’t bread it will definitely be something else!

Gym wear. I’ve worn it twice this week and fully intend to carry on with the gym as much as possible. I find that if I have all the gear I’m much more motivated, but I do still need a gym buddy to push me. I hate going to the gym on my own, it’s not something I can find the mentality for sadly. So, yes, I’ve been wearing lots of new gym wear, and Jamie even treated me to some awesome leggings!

This week I heard a lady reverse her car into the side of the doctor’s surgery. I was in the pharmacy at the time picking up my prescription and I heard an almighty thud. Nobody knew what had happened initially and then someone stuck their head out of the door. I think the picture says it all! It could have been so much worse and, luckily, nobody was hurt!

And lastly..

I really hope to make more of an effort with this next week. I’ve kind of lost my way already because I’ve been poorly. It’s such a set back on everything so fingers crossed this will be better next week!

So glad no-one was hurt, how did she manage that?! It actually made me laugh but not funny really! YAY for going to the gym. I’m aiming for 3 times a week and feel so much better for it x
