I’ve been really poorly over the last week and so we’ve not had much of a chance to get outdoors, and certainly not had much of a chance to take┬ásome lovely photos of the boys. Nevertheless I’ve managed to grapple a couple despite being stuck indoors.

Toby has been getting increasingly more charming as well as increasingly difficult. Some days he’s a dream but he’s not listening and it’s almost like he needs the “shock” factor just to get his attention. I can beg, plead and bribe him to be good, or stop doing something, and he doesn’t take a blind bit of notice. But then he looks like this and I remember he is still my little baby boy, just a bit more grown up. He doesn’t often look this innocent, vulnerable or impressionable. He doesn’t often look meek or shy, and certainly never do his eyes twinkle without a bit of mischief behind them. Yet I managed to capture this picture of him and it makes me beam…

Teddy on the other hand is all about the mischief recently, although he’s been quite poorly too. He is testing more boundaries; he’s hitting and throwing himself on the floor a lot. He’s also putting his parts on when it comes to a bum change, something that Toby did around 19 months old too. Oh the joys! Teddy is just shooting up at the moment and seems to be looking more and more grown up, it’s actually scary. I’d really love these two to stay little, teeny babies forever. Please.

I hope you’re feeling better. I love this linky because it’s all about recording the everyday – quite a lot of my photos are taken in the house because we haven’t been anywhere or done anything exciting that week! My Toby sounds just like yours with the not listening thing – I sometimes wonder if he has a mum-filter that just switches off my voice to him!

Oh they are growing up so fast! What gorgeous boys you have – they’ll look like twins before you know it. It sounds like they both know all about mischief! I wish mine would stay teenie forever too x
