Review + Giveaway | Aveeno Baby Range

I attended my last blogging conference of 2016 in November and it was BlogFest. One of the sponsors was Aveeno who make one of the loveliest moisturisers I’ve ever known, and now they’ve brought out a wonderful new baby range with plans to expand it later this year. When I saw the samples at BlogFest I really loved the simplicity of the design and it just radiates those ‘newborn’ vibes.

The range currently consists of three products; daily care barrier cream, soothing relief emollient cream and soothing relief emollient wash.

Aveeno Baby Range Daily Care Barrier Cream

This is designed to soothe and reduce redness on baby’s delicate skin and further protect it from nappy rash. It’s unscented and paediatrician tested and is super easy to apply. It’s not particularly thick, which I find with a lot of barrier creams, but it works well. Teddy’s nappy rash episodes are rare and are nowhere near as bad as some of the rashes I’ve seen on other babies but this does the trick on the faintest of rashes.

It’s a good product to have in your changing bag, although admittedly I haven’t been converted from my ‘go to’ barrier cream as it doesn’t seem to last as long as the one I currently use.

Aveeno Baby Range Soothing Relief Emollient Cream

When Toby was younger he suffered with patches of dry skin and we were prescribed a different Aveeno range product which worked. However, I wish this had been available. Best applied after a bath this leaves the skin so smooth, without an residue and is, again, fragrance free! Not only is it absorbed beautifully but it means any other little patches of skin which are dry are left hydrated. A great way to incorporate baby massage into your routine if you apply this after a bath. Bonding time and moisturised skin – lovely!

Aveeno Baby Range Soothing Relief Emollient Wash

This is absolutely perfect for using in the bath, or even as a really subtle bubble bath; the bubbles don’t last long but then a newborn isn’t going to take much notice of bubbles and that’s not what it’s designed for anyway! It is a little bit thicker and takes a good while to dissolve in the water so it’s best to run under a warm tap or to give it a good old swish around in the bath. As a wash you really don’t need that much because it is so thick. It left the boys’ skin feeling so, so smooth though and it gave them that newborn smell all over again.

All of these products contain finely milled oatmeal which has been proven to restore the skin’s natural barrier, preventing water loss although it’s so fine you can’t and won’t notice it!

This is a really beautiful range which leaves skin really soft and could even be used for your own dry skin problems. I wouldn’t say it’s exclusively for newborns and it won’t hurt to try it. Rumours are that the range is expanding later this year and I can’t wait to see what else Aveeno add to the baby toiletries market.

If you’d like to win the Aveeno Baby range, then I have one set to give away to one lucky reader. If you can’t wait, you can find the range exclusively available in Boots!

Aveeno have so many different products and I’m not surprised their baby range is getting good reviews! I love their shower gels and shampoo/conditioners. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a wide range available in the U.K. at the moment but hopefully they will increase their brand outside of the U.S. soon! I definitely recommend them to all mummies out there!

I’d love to win this giveaway, my little boy had eczema (I think) he was a very angry mark on his cheek and also one on his shoulder and back which are itchy, his face is particularly bad and I was recommended these products so I have went out and bought the Aveeno baby daily care creme barreira to see if this helps, I’ve tried lots of other things but it’s not shifting, fingers crossed Aveeno helps my poor little man
