I really love flowers but rarely have them around the house. I don’t really know why, but there just always seems to be a lack of them. However, not that long ago, I wrote a post about my “non-negotiables” and I’m sure treating myself was on there, even if it was something as simple as flowers.
I love that flowers can make a house a home, make a room its own and just bring bursts of colour in the door. Grace and Bloom are the newest UK flower subscription box to start hitting doormats.
You can choose anything from a one off box (£24.99) to a three month subscription (£59.99) to a whole six months of fresh flowers being delivered (£104.99).
When the long, rectangular box landed in my hallway I was really excited to see what flowers I’d been sent. I really love seasonal blooms, but also because I’ve been looking at flowers to use at my wedding!
The flowers I received were really beautiful and the selection was wonderful. Unfortunately, other than the roses, I didn’t know what the others were and I think this might be a nice idea for the future.
They were wrapped in a really lovely spotty cellophane and I’d have been quite happy to just put them in a pot as they came and as it were they ended up in a big Nutella jar!
I love the Grace and Bloom use local suppliers and makes it even lovelier because it gives them that “just taken from the garden” look which is what I really love. I hate structure and uniformity when it comes to flowers – I love them rustic and wild and free.
Quite simply they were gorgeous and lasted around 10 days, although the roses dipped a little sooner, although they did have some very lovely sparkly glitter on. As nice a touch as that was I’m not sure if that was for me, I love nature as it’s intended.
They displayed really well and looked lovely both on my windowsill, and then later on in my hall way on my rather lovely table! A welcome sight for anyone coming through the door.
