Its no secret that my hair is bleached a much lighter blonde than it is naturally, and with that I am pretty selective about the hair products I use. Not only do they have to protect my colour, but I like to make sure they tame the frizz and curls just a little.
Just launched in the UK and available exclusively on Ideal World, I’ve been trying out the ‘My Miracle’ range by Linda Lusardi. Linda is a household name from the 80’s and actually, I was only born in 1989 so I can’t say that I know exactly who she is, but I am willing to give her hair products a go, especially as she has a successful skincare range.
I was sent the ‘Caviar and Keratin Rejuvenate’ collection which consists of a shampoo, conditioner and hair masque and I do love the smell of all of these products. It’s hard to explain and this is probably a weird way to explain it without it sounding terrible, but it reminds me of my Nan. In a really good way from when I was much younger, it’s a scent that I recognise, but can’t place and it’s really, really lovely. It’s quite mature, not particularly fruity but with a hint of nostalgia.
Having said that I’ve got to be honest and say that I wasn’t that impressed with the packaging. It doesn’t really appeal to someone in my age group; it’s not particularly bold or eye catching, it’s pretty plain although I do like the shade of purple she’s chosen! I just wasn’t really inspired and if it’s something I’d have seen in a shop I think I’d have honestly just glanced it over because it’s not particularly stand out.
Linda Lusardi Miracle Range Hair Cleanse
A little runnier than I’d have expected but actually it goes a long way. My hair is pretty thick and long at the moment so when a little goes a long way it’s a good thing! I did the classic “double wash” but unfortunately, it left my hair feeling really dry and a bit like straw so I was a bit disappointed.
Linda Lusardi Miracle Range Conditioning Creme
I was hoping the conditioner would salvage how dry my hair was feeling and it did a little, but it wasn’t easy to comb out the knots and my hair still felt a little lacking in moisture. I had to use quite a lot of the conditioner as well, but then I have to use loads of any conditioner because of how my hair is, that’s not a fault of this product as such.
Linda Lusardi Miracle Range Deep Hydration Masque
A 20 minute rejuvenating hair masque which did help my hair feel a lot softer than the shampoo and conditioner, but it was a real pain to wash out. I felt like there was still a lot of the product in my hair and it was quite sticky. Again this could just be my hair..
All the products above have both caviar and keratin as part of the ingredients. The caviar is a wonderful combination of minerals, vitamins, fatty and amino acids as well as offering antioxidant qualities. It also helps to counter UV damage which is great for the Summer sun we’ve been having.
Keratin is a naturally occurring protein which is found in hair and it helps with elasticity amongst other things. Keratin levels do diminish, so replenishing it is key to having good quality hair, which means that anyone with damaged, dry or coloured hair should see benefits.
Typically priced at £47.97 I don’t think it’s something I’d splash out on even as a premium range treat, but with an offer price of £19.99 it seems pretty reasonable for what you get.
