Review | Tropika Little Spa + Skin

I think it’s finally happening. Summer may just be round the corner after the exquisite weather today. The sun makes me think about a lot of things and usually the first thing I think about is my skin. I’ve been taking a lot better care of my skin recently and I’ve been trying lots of different products to find out what works best for me.

Luckily, the brand I’m going to talk to you about today have some wonderful products that I’ve found have been working really well and so, of course, I want to tell you all about them – they’re called Tropika.

Tropika are a wonderful brand with three different collections available; Little Spa, Skin and Mums Spa. Tropika use a blend of aromatherapy extracts, which are all plant based, alongside premium virgin coconut oil. Usually if anything contains coconut oil I’m utterly sold because I love it in its raw form and I find that it works so well for so many different things on the body that I can barely fault it.

Tropika Little Spa Coconut Massage Oil

The Tropika ‘Little Spa’ range, as the name would suggest, is aimed at young toddlers and babies or at least for parents to get hands on with their kid’s skin, so what better to use than massage oil? Virgin coconut oil is a natural choice and it’s amazing on skin. Virgin coconut oil is great for relieving dry skin, nappy rash and I even remember using it on Teddy’s cradle cap.

This particular one is infused with lavender which is super calming and great before bed time. This Tropika coconut massage oil is great for using after a bath and winding the kids down with a little massage before getting into their pyjamas. It’s not greasy, sticky or thick and it smells so good. It kind of gives me all the feels for wanting another baby! I love all that bonding time and it’s great to continue using until they’re toddlers too!

The packaging is all pastel like with soft tones. It’s really simple, appealing and would look good with all your other toiletries. It just gives off a natural air and I love it.

Tropika Little Spa Coconut Herbal Cream

This herbal cream is inspired by homemade remedies used by mums throughout Malaysia. It’s an all natural blend of virgin coconut oil and tropical herbs which produce this beautiful scent that you want to use time and time again – usually on yourself over the little ones (guilty!). Tropika say to massage a small amount into the back and chest but I’ve been using little bits all over!

It’s one of those really soothing smells; the kind you get when you walk into a spa and you feel instantly relaxed. I love that it’s super smooth, rubs in really well and isn’t sticky which I find with so many creams. Again it’s really natural and you just can’t help but fall in love with it.

Tropika Skin Coconut Cleansing Oil

Ahh, one for me! I have been doing much better with my skincare routine and I’ve been changing up products here and there to find which things work better for me. I have combination skin so I’m always a little concerned about how my skin will react to certain products.

Oh my god, you guys! This stuff is amazing. I’ve been trying it out for around two weeks or so now, where it’s replaced my usual cleanser, and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in how my skin looks. All I’ve been doing is adding around 5 drops to my face; one drop on each cheek and a drop on each my forehead, nose and chin just to cover all bases (it says 3-4 on the packaging but I wear my mascara pretty thick because I have super long lashes so I like a little bit extra). Using a muslin dipped in warm water I then massage it into my face and eyes and it genuinely removes every trace of make up which is amazing. Once that’s done it’s just a case of rinsing off and carrying on with my routine as normal. The mixture of coconut with olive oil means all your eye make up is removed effortlessly and you don’t have to scrub away at your eyes for ages.

The first thing you notice about this product, other than the divine packaging of course, is the smell. Oh the smell! All you have to do is close your eyes and you could be on a tropical island somewhere. It smells so ‘coconut-y’ and it’s one of my favourite scents. My skin feels much smoother and refined. It feels moisturised and the dry patches I was experiencing before hand have disappeared.

There are other little gems of information about this Tropika product too! What if I told you it is sustainably sourced, vegan and cruelty free? It literally ticks so many boxes! Virgin coconut oil is also famed for its anti-ageing properties which is just another added little bonus. See, I told I couldn’t fault this stuff.

Have you tried these ranges yet? If not, why not? Do you love coconut as much as I do?

I love finding new skin products! I hate when creams feel sticky, so these sounds great.
