Mummy’s very busy with my new little brother at the moment so she’s letting me take control of the reins for this post, which is just as well because I’m the one whose just become a big brother, just like Prince George. And what better way to be welcomed into ‘big brother-dom’ than with a box full of goodies from the lovely people at Ella’s Kitchen?
Mummy and Daddy had both been telling me I was going to be a big brother, and I honestly had no idea what that meant, but this big brother box made me excited nonetheless.
I know Mummy is a big fan of Ella’s Kitchen and so am I, and have been since she weaned me all those months ago, so when we opened the parcel to find lots of “yum yums” I was very happy. Was it lunch time yet? The flavour combinations were very different to what I’ve had before, but I think I just about managed to eat every single crumb from all the packs. Being a big brother isn’t so bad after all, not when you’ve got a nice full tummy anyway.
My favourite thing in the kit has to be is this amazing extending colouring book along with the stacking crayons. Not only do I love making lots of wriggly lines on the pictures with lots of different colours, but it’s a chance for me to try and colour in Mummy’s dining table too. She really likes that. It’s nice for me to sit down with Mummy or Daddy and do something together. It’s nice to know they haven’t forgotten about me, especially as that’s one of the things I know Mummy was worried about – she didn’t want to feel guilty or make me feel like I’d been replaced.
By far, my favourite snack out of everything I was sent has to be the pouches, more now with the nice weather because they’re really lovely cold, or slightly frozen. A lot less mess for Mummy to clear up after I’ve had an ice lolly. The White One is the best, it’s so light and refreshing.
I’ve also been proudly showing everyone my new ‘Big Brother’ t-shirt. I love letting everyone know that my little brother is here, and he’s not as bad as I thought he was as I wasn’t too keen on him for a good couple of weeks, but now I know he’s here to stay! Ella’s Kitchen also awarded me a certificate for the ‘Super Duper Big Brother Award’ which I now have displayed in my bedroom.
Being a big brother has been tiring work. Between watching Mummy feeding Teddy, Daddy doing nappy changes and how busy I’ve been during the day, I’m pretty spent when bed time rolls round. I like to stroke Teddy to let him know that his big brother is right next to him, but I do not like it when he shares my baths; all of that water is mine and I need all that space. Luckily he only comes in for a quick dip and then I go back to splashing around and soaking the floor and walls.
Anyway, we want to say thank you to Ella’s Kitchen for helping make the changes around the house a bit easier. I can’t wait until my little brother is old enough to try Ella’s Kitchen for the first time, I’m sure he’s going to love it!
