So many amazing brands fall off the radar simply because they’re only available online or at selected stockists, rather than being on the high street. Little Butterfly London is one of those brands, but one that really deserves some recognition.
Little Butterfly London was created by Gudrun Wurm. After having her son, and already being captivated with skincare, she sought to look for the ultimate natural skincare products for him. Ever elusive, she decided to create them herself. Every ingredient in all of her products is justified as she only wants the very best. This premium, organically certified range is gorgeous and we’ve been using the ‘Soft as Moonlight’ nappy cream.
There are no less than 18 ingredients; everything from mango seed butter to shea butter to peach kernel. Each ingredient has been selected for a reason, whether it be to relieve discomfort, nourish and protect the skin or to maintain healthy moisture levels.
My first impressions were really good. The best thing about it is that it’s British! The packaging is stunning; very simple but beautiful. Upon opening it, I honestly thought I’d been sent something to eat. It smells absolutely delicious, and the fact there are no artificial fragrances is great. I thought it was quite thick and was apprehensive it might be a bit too much but it rubs in really well and, while it says to use generously, I found that a little actually goes a long way so you don’t need to slather it on an inch thick.
You’re able to use this from birth, something that lots of other products don’t offer, because there are none of those nasty ingredients being used. It’s even midwife approved! The nappy cream works really well on nappy rash and on dry skin too, ultimately making it a family friendly product. I love that everyone in the family could benefit from this product.
The whole range is rather expensive, the ‘Soft as Moonlight’ nappy cream alone retails at £25.00 for 50ml. However, if you’re looking for gentle, organic products to use on your baby and yourself, then this product range is for you and would be worth spending the extra pennies. Available from the Little Butterfly London website, or alternatively from other selected stockists, these would also make great baby shower presents.
*I was sent this product in return for a review. All opinions above are my honest views.
