Christmas Bonanza | Hey Duggee Woof Woof

Both Toby and Teddy have a new favourite programme at the minute called ‘Hey Duggee’ so when I was offered the chance to review the Hey Duggee Woof Woof soft toy, I couldn’t deny the boys that, even if it is just before Christmas and it was on their list. Father Christmas a little bit early this year boys!

Hey Duggee is a new programme which airs on cBeebies. The show is a pre-school series which aims to promote fun, exercise and learning while ‘The Squirrel Club’ earn badges for doing different activities; I guess you could say Duggee is kind of a Scouts leader.

The Hey Duggee Woof Woof toy is a good size for little hands and isn’t any bigger than your average sized teddy bear. He’s dressed in a rather fetching ‘leader’ outfit and there are four embroidered badges across the front. Each badge activates a different sound but the boys’ favourite one has to be the circle which plays the Hey Duggee theme tune. They literally just end up dancing to this and usually have Duggee by their side when they’re watching the programme. There’s also a little button on his head (which you can only feel) which makes Duggee say a variety of ‘woof’ sounds, which the boys also think is great because they copy him!

The plush toy is super soft even though the fabrics used for his outfit are slightly textured. Toby and Teddy love him for play time, TV time and dancing time! Toby’s most favourite bit is probably that Duggee comes with two badges, which he wears with pride most of the day. I think this is a great and relatable toy that both boys really enjoy playing with. He has pride of place on top of the toy box so he never gets put away. This is sure to be a hit this Christmas!
