Brand Rep | Rusks And Rebels

So, Rusks and Rebels. Never heard of them? Well since they’re 5 years old you probably should have. Plus they featured in my Father’s Day Gift Guide!

I am so lucky to be in a position to be one of their first ever brand reps and I’m here to tell you about Rusks and Rebels and why I can’t wait to be part of their journey. You see, they have a dream. It sounds like a total cliche, but this company really do have a vision of where they want to be and what they want to achieve.

When Rusks and Rebels came to be in 2011, they were really motivated by the possibility of it leading to future employment for their 14 year old son, Dylan. Dylan has a rare chromosome disorder called Williams Syndrome which affects all areas of his development. He is essentially a 14 year old boy living with the height, weight and educational and emotional development of a 5 or 6 year old.

While his future health looks very positive, his lack of development could possibly affect his chances of employment in the future. It’s kind of bittersweet. But the fact that this company want to be able to provide such an amazing opportunity for their son is just incredible. Many parents would just cross that bridge when it came to it, but by being able to offer him that first step on to what could be a very promising career, Rusks and Rebels are thinking way ahead of the rest!

Rusks and Rebels began with a simple idea of creating cool and funky t-shirts for their two sons, Dylan (obviously) and Cameron, and after sketching out a few ideas for them they realised they had the potential to create a seriously awesome collection of kids’ clothes. And awesome clothes they are.

Possibly my favourite pieces in all of the collections are the personalised hoodies. I really didn’t think they’d be my thing – I’m not a huge fan of overly personalised bits, but these are just fab. They’re so cool and when Toby and Teddy go out in theirs, people always say how cute it is they have ‘matching’ clothes on.

All of their clothes are ethically made and everything in between is environmentally friendly and this echos their eco-friendly style of living. Rusks and Rebels are inspired by pop culture and fashion and keep up to date by mirroring current trends which appeals to a variety of parents.

Keep your eyes peeled for new designs coming soon, and seriously just check them out anyway. They are such an honest, genuine brand who want the best for their children and really believe in everything they do, as do I.
