Until very recently Marili Skincare wasn’t a company I’d been aware of. Aimed at the (much) younger generation than I (basically my own children) I was already captured.
Having had the wonderful privilege of growing up in Zimbabwe on a farm and having spent most of her childhood splashing in muddy puddles and climbing trees, Marili Aitken, who is the Founder of this truly wonderful company, developed a love for the outdoors and animals. Her creation of this company is to incorporate a touch of Africa while being fun, natural and organic. Not only that, Marili who has been overwhelmingly inspired by her own children, was determined to create a legacy for them that they could relate, respect and value.
So what does Marili say about her skincare range?
“Our products have gorgeous smells that kids love and wherever possible our ingredients are organic. I wholeheartedly agree. The Marili Skincare range, or what I’ve tried of it anyway, is just beautiful. My kids smell of strawberries and honey and it’s just very reminiscent of me being a child and having all this wonderful smelling hair. However, the difference here is that the Marili Skincare range has no “nasties” and the one I used probably had loads.
Toby and Teddy were sent the luxury skincare set to try out. This came with the strawberry and honey hair and body wash which is lovely. The packaging is simple yet effective, and it’s a two in one product so I can scrub them head to toe without having to switch products. Perfect for two wriggly boys who just want to draw with their bath crayons.
It also came with a super cute cuddly which Toby loves as he is very much into his animals and their sounds at the moment. Cue fights with Teddy, obviously. And it also came with a lovely little t-shirt in Toby’s size which he loves because he can parade the animal on the front around to anyone who will have a look!
