How is it possible that I’m writing a post about my summer dress styling tips when the weather is this atrocious? It’s almost June so we must have a rise in temperature soon right? I hope so because I’m going to be keeping it fresh in these 3 new dresses, complete with all the right accessories. These are sure to be summer style staples in your wardrobe this Summer.
For my first look I’ve gone for this gorgeous printed dress by Joanna Hope (JD Williams, £70). I love the colours and I love that the top of the dress has the ironed effect and that it’s crinkled at the bottom. I imagine this to be perfect on a sunny day with a bit of a breeze, and that’s why I’ve gone for a full maxi dress with shoulders. To finish it off these super lovely sandals (Monsoon, £17) which are a bit sparkly would be perfect, since you don’t want too much detail in the shoe with such a detailed dress. Finished off with a Michael Kors jet set tote in white (Selfridges, £260) makes for a perfect daytime summer outfit.
My second look is probably my favourite. It’s everything I love, and I’d love the weather to try and pull this one off. I can’t for the life of me find out where this dress is from, so if any of you lovelies can help, that would be amazing. It’s a daisy shift dress and I just love that extra bit of netted detail over the front. These boots are an amazing find (JD Williams, £45) and work amazingly within this colour palette, especially when paired with this super stylish khaki bomber jacket (River Island, £48).
My third and final look is a classic stripe. I love a stripe, usually opting for a thin navy horizontal stripe, but I’ve gone a little bit out of my comfort zone with this. This dress (Topshop, £46). A horizontal stripe isn’t something I’m used to and this is a really classic looking dress. I love the belt across the middle which just breaks it up a little bit. Because the stripes are so light on this dress, I’ve gone for a darker colour on the shoe (New Look, £19.99) and I think these wedges would complement this beautifully. To really set off this dress I think a pair of these Erika Classics (Ray Ban, £98) would do the job!
