My love of Harry Potter started when my parents bought me the very first book, ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’, as a birthday or Christmas gift, I can’t remember which. I do remember lying on my bed and reading it over and over again, though. My sister, who wasn’t as avid a reader as I was back then, got ‘Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets’. She wrote her name on the inside of the front cover so that I wasn’t allowed to read it because it was hers. I read it anyway of course, that’s what sisters do.
To this day, I think if I was ever stuck for a book to read, I would always happily pick up any Harry Potter book and read it again. As it happens, I don’t find that I have a lot of time to read these days which is quite sad. Or if I do have time to read, you can guarantee I’ll never get round to finishing it in good time – and that’s when it’s easier to have one of the movies on in the background!
I wouldn’t say I’m overkill with buying everything Harry Potter though, I’ve never been one to have all the gear for anything that I really love, I’ve never really seen the point. If I’m going to wear it often enough and use it often enough then I like to get it, but otherwise I don’t want to buy something just for the sake of it. That’s why these 5 pieces of Harry Potter merchandise, all of which are less than £10, are perfect to use time and time again and show that you love all things magical. All of these pieces are available from Paladone.
Harry Potter Charm Key Ring
We’ve just had our new extension and, as a result, we’ve got a few more doors that we have all different keys for! This keychain is perfect for keeping all of my new keys together and it was an absolute steal at £3.99. The three different metal charms are Harry’s glasses complete with lightning bolt scar, the Hogwarts Sorting Hat and the sign for Platform 9 ¾.

Quidditch Notebook
I feel like I’m forever more disorganised than organised just recently. I can have a list that branches off into 3 more lists, and then 3 more lists again. I’m always adding extra notes and scribbling stuff out but it beats trying to keep it all in my head.
This cute quidditch notebook was only £4.99! I love the light, airy pattern and it’s small enough to fit in any of my bags. The paper is nice and thick too, which is always a bonus. Perfectly handy for noting down anything you need – you might even like to pick up a wand pen to go with it.

Hogwarts Mug
I have been eyeing up this mug for I don’t know how long. I saw it, maybe a couple of years ago now, at a blogging event I went to but I’d just never gotten round to getting one. I love the deep red colour, the crest on the front and it holds the perfect amount of tea. It’s closer to the £10 mark at £8.99 but I do love a good mug and it’ll probably get used every single day. In fact, Jamie and I will probably end up arguing over who is going to get it.

Hogwarts House Crest Coasters
And what better to put your mug on than a coaster, eh? These were £7.99 for the set of 4 and they’ll get used again and again. They’re metal on the top with a cork bottom and are great for adding some Harry Potter to your life without spending a fortune.

Deathly Hallows Glass
We’ve got a random selection of cups, and now we’ve added this Deathly Hallows glass to our collection. It’s a good size, a bit chunkier round the edges but, nevertheless, it does the job well. It was only £6.99 and for a decent mug I don’t think that’s half bad. The design is pretty dark with the Deathly Hallows symbol appearing as though it’s been illuminated.
All the pieces in this selection of Harry Potter merchandise are under £10 which is great if you’re looking for a gift for someone and don’t want to spend too much. Equally they’re great little investment pieces if you love the books and films, but don’t want to dedicate your life savings.

Im getting those coasters! The Hufflepuff one will be mine!
I am a big Harry Potter fan and I already have a list a mile long of things I want for my birthday and Christmas but a couple of these things are new to me. I do love those coasters. 😀
