Project 365 – Week 4

This week has been another hectic one, especially since we’re still waiting for our kitchen to be sorted. They did say it would only take two weeks.. well let’s just say there’s plenty more to be done! Maybe they’re a little behind on getting all the right materials, who knows?

I’ve really lacked on the blog posts this week too. I had a week full of post ideas ready to go but just genuinely haven’t gotten round to writing them, so I’ve had to keep rolling them over with the intention of writing out two or three at a time. As you can tell with this one, I’m still way behind as this one is 3 days late – oh well, two exciting reads for you in one week – what more do you want from a blogger?

I had the midwife on Monday who confirmed everything was going well, as said in my weekly pregnancy update. The only thing is that I was due to have an obstetric appointment brought forward to January from February and that’s not happened which she was pretty annoyed about. I’m due to see a consultant but ended up with a registrar last time, so she’s advised that I call up and be firm about who I want to see, since it’s now dragging on a bit. This was completely reinforced when my GP suggested I do the same, so next week they can expect a lovely little call from me. I think I may have to do a full post about everything to explain exactly what’s going on, but until I get the answers I’m after, I don’t know myself.

Toby and I spent about an hour walking around the village in the afternoon. We went and saw the pig near the cricket field – it’s probably been there about 20 years! I remember it from when I was younger. He also loved grabbing at all the leaves he could get his hand on. When we got home we did lots of playing with his two toy boxes, since the one from our house is also here with us at the in laws.

Water Babies was a huge success this week after last Friday’s mishap. We were doing “wibble wobble, wibble wobble, jelly OFF the plate” with the big lilypad when Toby decided to grab onto another little girl’s hair and ended up going backwards away from me. He then panicked and decided that his favourite activity was now his least favourite and wouldn’t go anywhere near it. I’m just glad he’s more or less forgotten about it as he was back on it this week – although he’s not a huge fan of being a sizzling sausage in a pan.

Friday night we had an all staff night out which was lovely. We all went bowling (yes, I was bowled) and then went out for a meal afterwards. The only problem was that I was so hungry when I left the house at 5.30pm (table wasn’t booked until 8pm and we were bowling at 6pm) that I decided I’d stop at the chippy and treat myself to sausage and chips before I arrived. I, of course, then went on to completely demolish a three course meal, plus a few mouthfuls of someone else’s dish and didn’t feel sick in the slightest! You can literally only get away with this if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

There’s nothing I love more than coming home and seeing Toby completely zonked out after having a packed day of running around. He is such a force of nature, and can be really hard work some days, but can’t they all? However, we are really struggling to get a decent night’s sleep at the minute. We’re all in one room while we’re living with J’s parents and I think we’re disturbing each other’s sleep! Hopefully I’ll be back to sleeping like this soon enough!

    • I feel like I have too much going on sometimes! Hopefully by the time baby is here then we’ll have a few more things sorted. Thank you, fingers crossed the 24th will bring some answers and even more fingers crossed we’re back in house at the end of the week x
