So, if you lot didn’t already know I’ve just come back from an absolutely awesome weekend in Brighton for my hen do – woop woop! Friday night was the first night at the house and all my hens had decided to hold a house party and so we decided we’d get comfy and settle in for the night ahead. There was lots of alcohol, a laser light and hollering out of the window at passersby – but it was all done in comfort and style.
Jordan, my sister and maid of honour, had been “employed” by The All-in-One Company to design a custom onesie for the occasion and even though I knew all about the onesie, I had absolutely no idea what she’d come up with. Now, it’s worth noting that my sister and I have always grown up with very different tastes and I was so sure she might come up with something utterly ghastly and that I’d hate it, but what I pulled out of the branded drawstring bag was something pretty special and I loved it.
As you can see, I’m modelling the onesie here. Shall we say it’s in “hen do” fashion since there is a vodka lemonade in my hand and I look like a bit of a Spice Girl with my peace sign and pout – I think we’ll go with that. I’m also posing from the side so you can see a bit of the back.
If you didn’t already know, The All-in-One Company are worldwide manufacturing leaders of bespoke onesies. I have wanted a onesie for ages but have literally just never gotten round to getting one, hoping that someone would buy me one instead so this was literally one of the best things ever; not only would I get a onesie, but it’d be custom made too – eek!
I obviously had absolutely no idea of the full customisation process so I’ve since sat down and had a look at just what she had to go through to make the perfect personalised onesie. In her words it was “really straight forward, super easy and with lots of options” but I wanted to find out for myself. And she wasn’t wrong. I love how smooth and simple everything is laid out; from fabrics, to patterns, to pockets, zips and extras. It’s all really, really easy. The only gripe I have with it is that you can’t have a bit of everything as there was so much choice!
As you can see, Jordan opted to go for alternate patterns on the front and back with some love hearts on the arms, a hood and a bit of personalised embroidery which reads “bride to be”. If you’re stuck for inspiration then they do have a tab where there are thousands of designs to choose from as well as accessories such as tails, ears and extra pockets.
I have to say I absolutely adore my onesie, not just because it’s my first one, but because it is beyond comfortable. Jordan did really well and opted to get me a fleecy one since it was going to be used in October and because it’s coming up to the colder weather. The only thing is I probably could’ve gone a size smaller as they’re really, really generous but having said that, some people want to wear clothes under theirs, and some just like the room.
The length is perfect for me, it isn’t restrictive and I don’t even feel ashamed saying that as soon as I’m at home, I get it straight on! The postman is sure to be in for a bit of a shock one day soon.
The All-in-One Company also offer experience days, which we were offered but had to turn down as they were quite a long way from us. I would have absolutely loved to have done it just to see how everything comes together, with all my hens and lots of drinks, I think it would’ve been so much fun! They’re based in Northumberland so if you’re up around that way I’d definitely recommend that you take a look at visiting there and having a little onesie party.
