When Little Green Radicals got in touch to see if I’d like to review a long sleeve baby body from their natural collection I was more than happy to say yes. One thing that babies can never have enough of is vests. It doesn’t matter how many you have, you can never have enough. Ted is always soaking through his bibs and vests with dribble at the moment so, with this in mind, I’m always on the look out for clothes that are kind to baby’s skin because, admittedly, it can take a while to notice that he’s actually wringing wet around the neck.
Made from 100% undyed organic cotton, this gorgeous baby body is perfect for those who have sensitive skin! It feels so soft and it’s one of those things you just know is going to feel good when it’s on. It’s not rough and didn’t have any knicks or pulled threads either, so the quality really shined through.
Because the cotton isn’t coloured it’s gender neutral and can be worn under dungarees or as part of an outfit, which I love! I don’t like to layer clothes up on Ted too much, so it’s perfect in the style department. The main thing for me is that it dries Ted’s dribble up quite quickly and takes it away from the skin effectively which I’m really pleased with. It means Ted doesn’t stay wet for long and doesn’t have much chance of getting dribble rash.
This Little Green Radicals baby body has the standard envelope opening which makes it easy to slip over the head, or down the body if there’s a rather explosive “up the back” accident which Ted seems to have a lot of recently. Luckily, this baby body hasn’t been a victim yet!
I had read that the range was very generous in size, so I’m glad I ordered 3-6 months, rather than 6-9 months as it would’ve been too big. It fit well around his legs and the length was perfect. There’s still a little bit more room to grow and it doesn’t cling on or feel tight around his chest and shoulders.
There’s also good news for you cloth bum mums because Little Green Radicals have accommodated for the fluffier bums and they’ve added a little extra room for them round the bottom!
I’ve washed the baby body a few times now and have to say there’s been no decrease in quality, shape or size. There’s no ironing required which is a little time saver. I have to admit, at £7.50 per baby body it is quite expensive but you can just tell the quality that’s gone into it and I would honestly have a drawer full of the range if I could! It’s one of those ranges that are built to last and will definitely be stored for baby number 3! (Yes, I did just say that, but no I’m not pregnant!)
When you buy from Little Green Radicals you can be safe in the knowledge that they adopt high social and ethical standard through every stage of production. In 2002 they were one of the first companies to use Fairtrade certified organic cotton to make baby and children’s clothing and it’s still used to this day. All clothing from them is organic and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard. Little Green Radicals also carries the Fairtrade logo.

Lgr clothes are such lovely quality aren’t they? We’ve had a couple of things in the past including a really sweet dress and romper that my two wore to be a bit matchy matchy!
