Despite the amount of toys we already have for the boys one of my favourite things, without a doubt, is finding them new and exciting ones to play with. It’s even more thrilling when they’ve got something unique about them.
As part of the Bigjigs Play Patrol team the boys have now been sent two figures from the Rubbabu range that Bigjigs are now stocking on their website. These animal figures on wheels are so much fun and to say the boys love them would be an understatement.
Rubbabu aniwheelies are hand made natural foam toys which come in all shapes and sizes, and the seriously bright colours are just too cool for school. I can only describe them as having the texture of a peach, yet they’re super squishy and really tactile. They’re on wheels and the boys love racing them around and rolling them to one another in the kitchen!
The Rubbabu range is really soft and safe, even for young children, although they are sold as being suitable for ages 1+. Toby and Teddy love racing their big elephant and little monkey and they’ve even had bouncing matches because, believe it or not, these things can bounce, and it’s actually really fun! It’s always good to know that while they’re being thrown to the floor that they’re not going to break, or do your floorboards any damage, because they won’t smash or leave a dent.
Not only do they encourage imaginative play, but the ‘Aniwheelie’ products in the Rubbabu range are great for motor skills, encouraging crawling and other they offer endless play value and learning. It’s just a huge bonus that they’re really durable because these will last for ages, and we may even put them away after Toby and Ted have outgrown them.
Teddy really likes chewing on the elephant ears, despite the Rubbabu products not being suitable for teething. However, what I do know is that the materials are all absolutely fine and so it doesn’t matter that he has a good gnaw on it and there aren’t any teeth marks on them yet!
These toys should make green parents happy because the materials are bio-degradable and renewable, woohoo! They’re made by a family run business and all the toys are hand made in India, which creates more than 100 fair trade jobs in India and the USA.
Is there anything I don’t love about these toys? Not really! Would I buy more in the range? Absolutely!
