There’s no question that when you’re an expectant parent that every little will help. If you’re a first time parent or a tenth time parent, the baby market always has something new and exciting to offer. The problem is that even the smallest things will add up and you’ll want to try as much as you can before you commit to buying anything and, sometimes, what works for one parent doesn’t always work for the other.
While I can’t help with the big label items I can point you in the direction of some smaller baby freebies and where to find them! From samples, to coupons to a few free products this is where you’ll find them!
Before we get started it’s worth noting that to get these baby freebies most brands will require you to sign up or, at minimum, provide some basic data. If this isn’t something you’re comfortable with then don’t feel you have to!
This list was last revised April 2018.
Where Can I Find Baby Freebies?
So I’ve put this list together as I’ve had quite a few people ask me recently what the best baby freebies are and where they can get them! So instead of completely typing it out each time, I’ve decided to keep a list here that I can hopefully keep updated for you all. Baby freebies are great for lots of things; sample sizes are great to keep in your changing bag, you get to try a product before you buy it, and they all add up to a bit of money saving since babies can be such expensive little things!
Cow & Gate Baby Club
Cow & Gate baby club offer advice tailored to every stage of pregnancy, 1-to-1 support from their dedicated Careline, a handy pregnancy diary and a free cuddly cow. This is only available if you register before 30 weeks of pregnancy though. I don’t remember receiving anything further on down the line in terms of coupons/vouchers/samples but it may have changed/evolved. I’ll keep you updated.
You can join Aptamil’s Aptaclub and have free expert advice on hand 24/7, personalised e-mails from pregnancy right through to toddlerhood. I’ve updated my profile on here recently to say I’m pregnant again. They used to send you out a cuddly polar bear but unfortunately they don’t do this anymore. I wouldn’t say this was overly worth joining to be honest. I never received any money off coupons/samples from here but if you want “on hand” advice then it’s a nice to have that option.
HIPP Organic Baby Club
HIPP Organic also do a baby club. Again they offer emails and expert advice but you’ll get enough of that from the people who surround you. If you do join this club you’ll also get access to exclusive offers and competitions and some free photo prints from Snapfish.
Huggies Potty Training Guide
Huggies offer a small sample pack of their ‘Pull Ups’ as well as a £1 off voucher here! Obviously potty training will eventually come round, so if you’re stuck for something to refer to they also have a free 6 step guide.
Pampers used to have a wonderful array of samples/coupons but it seems they’re changing the way they work. ‘Pampers Club’ is an app you’re able to download where you earn points every time you purchase Pampers. Parents can get lots of lovely rewards depending on how many points you’ve earned.
Don’t quote me on this, but Bambo Nature were giving out free samples last year after you signed up; I haven’t checked to see if they’re still sending them out though as I’m already signed up. Pop over and fill in the contact form!
(I’m waiting to hear back from Bambo about whether they’re still offering any kind of sample to new/expectant parents!).
Ahh, the infamous Bounty Packs. You’ll only be able to get these at certain stages of your pregnancy. You should receive your first voucher at your first ever booking in appointment with the midwife and the rest will follow in due course by your health professional. The Bounty Packs are one of the first places I think of when I think about where to find baby freebies. They’re full of information, samples and money off vouchers so they’re definitely worth picking up!
Heinz Baby Club
Heinz’s Baby Club has changed! From now on, you’ll find all their weaning tips, tasty recipes and awesome competitions on Facebook.
Baby freebies from Emma’s Diary
One of the best lots of baby freebies you’ll get is from Emma’s Diary. Now, you can download the vouchers online for these, but I think Argos will only accept the cardboard voucher now as people were abusing the vouchers and printing off way more than they needed – which isn’t fair on everyone else. The first pack usually has a Johnsons newborn baby pack in there too. There are three packs you can pick up, all filled with different goodies, samples and vouchers. Like all the other clubs it’s free to join. You’ll also get £200 worth of money off vouchers for Argos, a photo book voucher worth £15, competitions and access to forums with lots of other mums-to-be. Handy!
Boots Parenting Club
Another winner is the Boots Parenting Club, You get 10 points for every £1 spent on baby products, personalised offers, a free magazine and you’ll get free gifts to pick up in store for you and your baby.
Money Off With Caring Everyday
Not a freebie, but there are some good money off vouchers on Caring Everyday, mostly Johnson & Johnson products, but money off is money you’ve saved so definitely worth a look. They’re really easy to print and they’re always changing, so it’s one to keep in your bookmarks to keep checking.
Tesco Baby Club
It’s well worth joining the Tesco Baby Club. Perks include extra savings when your Tesco Clubcard coupons when they come through which are tailored to you based on your purchases, chances to win prizes and Tesco Bank free parent life cover plus lots more. Don’t forget they also run baby and toddler events throughout the year (as do other supermarkets).
Become a friend of Ellas Kitchen and you expect to receive a really useful weaning map. It’s packed with recipe ideas, handy hints and comes with a wall chart with stickers to fill in what your baby did/didn’t like. Money off coupons are pretty usual and they’re offering exclusive content on their new ‘First Foods’ weaning app! We’ve worked with Ella’s Kitchen a few times and their products have been nothing short of brilliant with my two! You can view those here;
Sainsbury’s Little Ones
Unfortunately, Sainsburys are closing their Little Ones baby club and are instead just having it as open as possible to everyone. There will be two separate pages; ‘Homemade’, which will be full of recipes and the ‘Baby & Toddler’ shop for baby products, parenting tips and money saving offers. If you want to be kept up to date with their offers, you just have to make sure that Nectar have all your details.
Mothercare offer a lovely little baby club where upon joining you’ll get over £100 worth of money off vouchers, 20% off maternity clothes (woohoo!), if you spend £100+ you’ll get £10 off, and another £5 off if you spend £50+ on clothing, footwear or toys. When your baby’s birthday comes round, you’ll get an exclusive 20% off toys and you’ll also get sneak previews of their sales, which is a great perk! If you didn’t know already, even if you aren’t part of the club, Mothercare run expectant parent evenings throughout the year where you can pick up a gift bag, exclusive discounts and talks on car safety and car fitting advice. You can also take advantage of maternity bra fittings, advice from a midwife, breast feeding expert or health visitor, free child and baby first aid advice, and parenting/baby activity teachers. You can find your next one on their website.
This list is by no means exhaustive so if something has expired, or there’s a new one, please feel free to tell me! There are some other little baby freebies or samples you can send off for which I’ll list below, but these are the main ones I can think of at the moment.
