Christmas Bonanza | The Christmas Zonkey

So Kevin Tyler is this really awesome childrens’ author who just keeps coming up with these incredible books. The latest being The Christmas Zonkey.

It was a quite a while ago that I reviewed Kevin’s ‘My Given Name’ book and fell in love with the storyline, quality of the book and the longevity of what turns out to be a beautiful keepsake. Basically, I couldn’t fault it. And The Christmas Zonkey is no different.

This particular book is personalised with your child’s name, with a character that looks more or less like your child and features Ziggy the Zonkey, who just so happens to come to your home town. I won’t give away much of the story line, because you can’t preview this one online and I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but basically Ziggy leaves his home to go and chase his dreams and meets your child along the way.

It’s another beautifully illustrated book with a really cool Christmas storyline; I was as excited to read it to the boys as they were to listen to it (they’re really into books at the moment) and both Toby’s and Teddy’s has a really lovely message in the front from myself and Jamie to remind them they got this book for Christmas 2016. The books are printed on quality paper and you can really tell that each and every one of these books is special, rather than just another book.

It still has that keepsake element to it, and that’s something I love about personalised books, especially ones they want to read over and over again. I assure you, it’ll take quite a while to get bored of this one.

The website says it’s the perfect gift for children up to age 5 and I would probably agree with that, but then I guess that really depends on how much they love reading and how much they still ‘believe’.
