Christmas Bonanza | A Trio Of Stocking Fillers

We all know it’s really the little things that count and, at Christmas, one of my favourite things to open is all the little presents inside a stocking. I never had these growing up as a kid but have found myself very lucky to have one over the last couple of years. The presents inside need not be big or expensive by any means and they’re things the recipient can use throughout the year or they can be themed – it’s totally up to you! So here is a little trio of stocking fillers that I think might pique your interest – oh and did I mention you could win one of the ‘Roaring T.rex Crunchers’ – ROAR!

Roaring T.Rex Cruncher

Toby absolutely loves dinosaurs at the moment. He adores making the noises (especially roaring at Teddy!) and I think this might be one of his ongoing interests. When he first saw the T.Rex cruncher he was constantly pointing at it, but I didn’t let him have it straight away but when I eventually gave in he absolutely loved it. He wanted to show everyone how his dinosaur worked and made noises.

Admittedly it does get on your nerves after having your three year old put it in your face every 2 minutes but it was so cute to see him play with it.

It’s a solid piece of kit which makes a dinosaur noise when you pull the handle in and the mouth opens at the same time which Toby thought was great.

You can pick this up at the Natural History Museum shop for £10 which for one of the bigger stocking filler presents is pretty good – especially for little boys who like making noise and who love dinosaurs.

Wooden Rainbow Pan Flute

Toby has only just recently been interested in this but would rather imitate the noise with his mouth when we show him to use it, although he does now have it figured out.

It’s brightly coloured and is perfect for musical babies and toddlers so this is probably much more suited to Ted who is much more musical than Toby. I love that it’s wooden as I find that these kinds of toys have longevity and the plastic mouthpieces are well placed too. This is designed to stimulate learning and encourage creativity; it could be a new song that you can make up words to as they’re playing along!

Definitely one for the younger babies/toddlers as I think they’d get more out of it, but Toby thinks it’s fun to run around making loads of noise! This is also from the Natural History Museum shop and can be bought for £4.50 which is super for a nice little stocking filler!

Blimey Mug

One for us adults! I don’t know about you but I love a good cup of tea and the next best thing to a cup of tea is the cup, or mug, itself. My Nan likes one with ‘lips’, someone else in my family likes them smaller at the bottom and me, well.. I’ll take it as long as it’s got a cup of tea in it!

This really cute ‘Blimey’ mug is from the Imperial War Museum shop and at £9 it’s quite expensive for a mug, but I do quite like the design. I like the faded green/grey as well as the definition detail on the mug itself.
