Thanks to the lovely Claire at Tin Box Traveller for nominating me for this post! In her own words she is a “happy camper” and has two beautiful tin box babies! It’s 10 things you didn’t know about me, and don’t forget to check out Claire’s here.
1. Where’s your happy place?
I’d probably have to say anywhere outdoors. I tend to be stuck in a lot either because of the weather, or lack of energy, so when it’s nice enough outside I like to get some fresh air. It’s nice to not be surrounded by four walls and have the space to run around, especially for Toby! We’re really lucky that we live close to Sandringham so we often go there to follow the trails, or just have a good old kick around with a ball.
2. Have you booked your next holiday?
Not yet. We do know that we’re going to go skiing in January though. It’ll be just Jamie and I and it’ll be our first holiday away together, on our own!
3. What was your favourite subject at school and why?
English. Without a doubt I had the best teacher and I just ‘got’ it, if that makes sense. My grammar still isn’t the best but it was my best grade at GCSE and I even continued to study it for my A-levels, although I never finished. I just really enjoyed analysing and annotating text as well as the essays. Does that make me a bit sad?
4. Glamping or all-inclusive?
Oooh it’s a hard one. I love an all-inclusive holiday, because that’s part of what makes it a holiday, but equally I love the outdoors although I’ve never been glamping. Can I go for a sort of all-inclusive glamping holiday with the option of cooking our own stuff?
5. What’s been the highlight of your year so far?
Toby becoming a big brother to Teddy! He has been so good with him, he’s really surprised me.
6. Kids say the funniest things. What’s the latest gem to pop out of your kids’ mouths?
Toby’s not talking yet so he doesn’t come out with anything really. All he’s obsessed with at the moment is to shout ‘Mum’ and then when I answer he just says ‘ummmmmm’ with his finger to his mouth.
7. Halloween or Christmas?
Christmas, without a doubt! Halloween is one night for me and Christmas is like a whole month. I love the build up to it, the presents, the food, the decorations and the lights. But most of all, I am so happy to be around the people I love the most, playing games and just enjoying spending time with people.
8. Tell me about your favourite photo of the year (include it if you’d like)
I have two, but I’ll show you this one, and it’s pretty much the first photo we have of all four of us together..
9. What was your all time favourite holiday and why?
Our skiing holiday to Flaine in 2014. It was Toby’s first time abroad at 5 months old, and despite only being that old was an angel all the way there and back (we drove). He got to see snow for the first time and Jamie and I got some down time skiing to ourself while Pop or uncle Joshy babysat for us.
10. What’s next for your blog?
I’m not sure really. I have been going to and fro about monetising it but am finding it increasingly difficult given some posts that I’ve read recently. There are so many fantastic blogs out there, that I don’t feel mine is really up there yet either. Not only that, I find that I’ve not been as committed recently, although I have been doing a few bits behind the scenes. I would like to have a full redesign but can’t justify spending the money. I’d just like to continue using it as I have been for the time being.
I now nominate these 10 super bloggers! Sorry if you’ve already done it..
Faye – Tales and Tea
Chantal – Milk and Nappies
Nicola – Nicola Says
Ami – My Mummy Spam
Ceri – Life With Bumps
Becky – Dear Twans
Grainne – Hope From a Butterfly
Tony – Papa Tont
Emma – Our Fairytale Adventure
Shona – Training Mummy
My questions to you are;
- What was the last lie you told?
- What is your greatest weakness?
- If you could have witnessed any past event, what would it be?
- If you could be any age for a week, what would it be? Why?
- What cheers you up?
- Who is your hero?
- Is there anyone you would like to meet, that you haven’t yet? Why?
- Have you got a good joke?
- Would you ever consider being a organ donor, if you are not one already? Tell me why, or why not?
- Rugby or football?
Don’t forget to link back to me and send me your 10 things so I can have a read

Ahh thanks lovely! It’s one of the first decent ones we’ve got with all 4 of us! Maybe you should come with us? I’ll pack you in my bags haha. Xx
