A Sway PR ‘End of Summer’ Party

To mark the end of summer, in August I attended the Sway PR ‘End of Summer’ party, and met with some fantastic brands to talk about their products and just have a little social with some other bloggers. Cake was on offer too, so I could hardly say no!

I chose to attend the event on my own without either of my boys. I wasn’t about to get myself around London with 2 under 2, no thank you, so this was also a little mummy’s day out for me.

The venue, Theatre Royal in Drury Lane, was absolutely beautiful and I met up with the beautiful Faye from Tales and Tea so we didn’t have to go it alone for the afternoon.

Our first stop was Multi-Mac, and what a stop it was. It’s a creation a long time in the making and testing to get it approved for use. It’s a multiple child car seat and in their own words it can ‘expand your family saloon’s seating without compromising style’. It’s anchored into place, and I even managed to fit in it! Suitable from ages 0-12 years and much cheaper than buying a new car to accommodate an expanding family. The owners of this company are all family and they are so lovely, it was a pleasure having a chat with them and learning about everything they’ve had to do to get this product out there. They’ve fitted these seats in everything from a Nissan Note to a Bentley. Ooooooooh!

Our second stop was with Dinky Dragon, a group of 4 best friends who were on holiday when they discovered the ‘i-angel hipseat baby carrier’. They chose to start distributing this to the UK, although they don’t manufacture it themselves. Their mission is to distribute children’s products that we can all use and believe in. Watch their space for more products! Faye had a go at trying this on and she does the whole baby wearing thing, and I’ve just not gotten round to it yet! She thought it was fab, because there’s something a little ‘extra’ special about this baby carrier.

Sway PR were lovely enough to have a lovely lady from ‘Milk’ to give out some manicures. It was at this point that I went off to have my nails polished up, with a lovely pastel purple polish to finish. The hand massage was pretty nice too – thank you!

I then headed over to Mia Tui who were there showcasing their lovely bags, and might I add they are NOT just changing bags, they are stylish handbags who are a woman’s best friend. They come in a variety of styles, from the everyday handbag to travel bags. We were lucky enough to have one of these in our goodie bags, a very gorgeous ‘Lottie’.

Bohn Swimwear were also there flaunting their mix and match swimwear, designed for women who would prefer to cover up just that bit more skin. Their swimwear is sold in separates so you are able to choose the level of coverage you feel most comfortable with. Faye and I had quite a nice talk with the owner about the direction she was headed in and she even asked our opinion on future colours and what we would like to see come to the range.

I also spoke with WishAGift who allow you to create a wishlist of gifts. By installing their wishagift™ button, you can add items from any retailers’ website, and then share this with your family and friends. The idea is that this will practically eliminate any chance of you receiving a gift you don’t want or need, replacing it with one you actually want. Super money saver at Christmas, right?

LoveBoo also had a stand with some of their super smelling goodies on show, which was really nice, and we even got to take some of these home in our goodie bags.

It was so nice to meet with the people behind the brands, talk about what their visions are for their companies and which direction they want to head. I had a really lovely day just meeting other bloggers, putting real faces to names and mingling with these wonderful brands. Thank you Sway PR!
