When it comes to wedding invitations, it’s actually pretty stressful finding a design you like. I love being crafty, but I am so rubbish at it because what I imagine something to look like when I set out to do it, actually turns out to be something totally different. So instead of getting crafty and adding lots of extra details that someone won’t even notice anyway, I opted to go for a really simple template and personalised them.
I spent ages looking for something that we liked and that would fit in with our wedding ‘theme’ – if you can even call it that really. We don’t really have a theme. We’re getting married in a barn, it’s very rustic, nothing is shapely or uniform but I found these amazing wedding invitations that reflected at least something, and that’s the simple flowers in jars. We’re going to be using these around the barn and on the tables so the invitations we found were perfect.
I finally ordered the wedding invitations from Vistaprint – yes I know, I can’t believe it either. I had spent hours trawling Pinterest, Etsy, Not On The Highstreet, had checked out people on Instagram and had spoken with local retailers, but had found nothing that I had liked, or if I did like them, they were so ridiculously out of my price range for something that people will inevitably put in the bin. So when I saw some wedding invitations on Vistaprint, I could hardly believe it to be honest. I felt like I had been totally overthinking what I wanted.
The best thing was, I was able to edit them online, review them as many times as I wanted, and could customise them insofar as all the details, but the actual graphics remained the same. I also ordered matching menus and evening invitations – we’re a bit too late for save the dates and we didn’t think it was something we wanted to do anyway.

To just add a little something extra, these ‘You’re Invited’ wristbands from ID&C were sent out with our invitations which I thought were a nice little extra touch, without going over the top! And I’ve got the chance for you to win up to 100 of these bands!
They can include the message of your choice, from “Merry Christmas” to “Jade’s Hen Night” to ”Raising the Rings 2016” or any other fun message you want to include. These are just some ideas but it can be for any other event like birthdays, weddings or a girls night out!
Another option I’ve not yet mentioned is that the wristband could be used to put parent’s phone numbers and names on to ensure that kids are safe if they got lost, great for a school trip perhaps, but they’ll still enjoy wearing them as they are personalised with colours and graphics.
We were really happy that these were totally customisable to our colour theme, and that they just offered something a little extra other than a bog standard invite. For your chance to win just enter the Rafflecopter below..
