It’s always a slog isn’t it? Trying to find something for Father’s Day that isn’t too cheesy and that won’t be slung in the back of a cupboard or drawer for the rest of time. What do dads really want? To be honest, I don’t have a clue, but I’ve really tried to gather some super alternative ideas that you might think are amazing, or that might just set off an even better idea.
Mighty Fine Honeycomb*
Because who doesn’t love honeycomb? I know I love a good Crunchie, but honeycomb with something a little bit extra must be a winner. Think outside of the box a little bit; honeycomb dipped in salted caramel chocolate, or a peanut butter honeycomb bar. Dads are totally allowed these calorific treats on Father’s Day! The packaging is pretty awesome too, look at that honeycomb detail. It’s just one of those lovely little touches that, while it isn’t necessarily for the dad to wear, it’s a little ode to them every time they have some time together on their own. Super cute!

I am so lucky to live locally to this lovely lady, and she’s created some utterly gorgeous pieces for me over the last year or so. The only annoying this is, everyone seems to have found out about her, haha! Ruth creates so many beautiful personalised pieces, and her scrabble frames are to die for. House of Fraser just have so many ideas for Father’s Day this year. Everything from grooming, to bling to making your dad the master of style! I always check House of Fraser for gifts first as they usually have some pretty good stuff in their collections and I always manage to find something! Plus, lots of their bits have some money off at the moment, so that’s always awesome. I think Jamie might like this Howick polo shirt. It has a nice little bit of detail under the collar, not that he’ll be wearing it up any time soon!

I think dads like a little bit of humour on Father’s Day, just to remind them that parenting isn’t all sleepless nights and dealing with whining children. This little guide is a great little pick me up for any parent, or parent to be, helping mums and dads know exactly what to say, in every parenting eventuality. Who other to turn to than father of three William Shakespeare for the perfect response to all your parenting dilemmas, and more.
This guide is full of wit and wisdom, which have been cleverly extracted from some of Shakespeare’s most loved and known plays. It’s well illustrated by James Andrews and you can just see yourself being in the picture. There are so many other things you could treat your dad to – big or small. I love a personalised mug with pictures on or what about a big water bottle for the camping dad? What about a posh new bathroom mirror, or some funny number plates? Whatever you choose to buy, it’s always worth looking for a great deal. That Stone Island coat he’s been eyeing up? There’s a voucher code for that! A track driving experience? There are always vouchers for those too. Think personal, think Dad!
