Project 365 – Week 5

This week was the final week before we’d be back in our house now that the installation of the kitchen was well under way – hurray! It still seemed that even though there wasn’t that much work to be done, all the finishing touches were yet to go into place – including door handles and paint. To say we want our home back is an understatement, I actually miss just pottering around and being in the comfort of all my own things. Luckily, we were told it would 100% be done on Monday, so hopefully we can move back in next week..

Toby had another action packed week at Toddler Sense again, with both Nanny and Daddy in attendance! I think the theme was castles and dragons and it must’ve completely knackered him out, as usual. He did manage to make the most fantastic dragon for me though, that’s one to go away in the memory box!

I had a bit of a mixed weekend. Saturday was pretty poor. I’d booked a table at a local ‘Grand Sale’ for everything baby/toddler/maternity related and it was a complete flop! All of the tables had been booked and were absolutely overflowing with baby things, but literally no more than about 40 people walked through the door. It was a massive waste of a morning and I ended up packing up 45 minutes early and leaving. I came home with almost everything I turned up with. It’s such a shame – I’m tempted to do one more sale, maybe a car boot, because trying to sell things on these Facebook pages is an absolute nightmare, and there’s way too much to list.

However, Sunday was an absolutely beautiful day that we decided we’d take Toby out on a walk in the afternoon after his sleep. Since we always go to Sandringham, we thought we’d like a change and would go and have a look around Wolferton. It’s a beautiful, very small village just opposite the Sandringham estate and used to have a small train station for Royal arrivals. We had a great time walking around, and even went on the platform. We’ll definitely go back again soon, and we’re really lucky to have this kind of thing on our doorstep.

We’re almost at the end of our Water Babies term too, only one more week left! Toby is really starting to get the hang of it now, so it’s really paying off, and his confidence in the water is unbelievable. Luckily, it’s only one week off and then we’re back on until May, which takes us nicely up to around two weeks before my due date. It’s scary to think how quickly it’s going.

Until next week..
