Review | DaniPro Nail Polish

If you’ve read my non negotiables post in the last week or so, you’ll know that one of them is that I really need to start just taking a bit of time out for me. I am always about the kids, the house and blogging and so I’m making an effort to have at least a few minutes a day just for myself.

Simply Feet recently got in touch and asked if I’d like to review some of their DaniPro Nail Polish, and I thought it the perfect opportunity and time to start. After lots of mulling over the colours, I finally opted for the DaniPro Nail Varnish in Steel from Simply Feet which I thought would make a nice transition from Winter to Spring, without it being too bright. I like bright colours, but they don’t really like me because I’m so pale, so I usually opt for neutrals, nudes, or contrasts if I can. I also received a top coat and base coat polish.

After I’d prepped my nails with a bit of filing, I usually apply vaseline with a cotton bud around the edges of my nail because it usually gets a bit messy, especially when I’m using my non dominant hand! The base coat went on a dream and I really liked the brush. Sometimes I find that they’re really long and hard to manipulate, but these are just about right in terms of their length. It dried really quickly and then we were ready for the colour.

Once the colour coat had gone on, despite my being impressed with the rate at which the base coat dried, I always allow a bit more time for the colour to ‘set’, even with fast drying polishes. I always find that even when they’re dry, they’ve not quite hardened and on the odd occasion they’ve rippled up, or I’ve found a weird pattern on my nail where I’ve leant on something, which is so annoying and I didn’t have any of that with DaniPro.

I only applied one top coat to my rather good handiwork and found that it gave it a really professional look. It made my nails feel pretty healthy, and the nail polish was really robust; I didn’t experience any chips whilst wearing it. I sometimes find that my nails can look scratched when I take off any nail varnish, and that they can feel quite rough, but it didn’t happen quite as much with the DaniPro polish. The nail polish was really easy to come off with nail polish remover too.

I’d definitely buy, and recommend, this range of nail polishes to anyone. The range of colours is fabulous and they’re really worth the money. They are a slightly higher price than your standard high street brands, but they’re worth it for the finish in my honest opinion. Not only that but they are the only doctor formulated nail polish infused with Undecylenic Acid which helps with nail fungus!

I’m hoping to expand my range for the summer and maybe even start stocking up for Autumn. What do you have your eye on?
