Toby’s now at the age where he’s very much into technology and, more specifically, gaming. I think he has a really good balance of being outside doing sporty and active things against any downtime with a console. He’s also now at the age where he’d like to tell me exactly what he likes to wear and how his bedroom should look.
I think it’s really hard to find a balance between what’s a genuine interest and what’s a passing interest. Kids can be quite fickle; they’ll love something one week and have forgotten about it the next. So instead of making his bedroom one whole theme, perhaps it’s better to stick to a vague idea!

We’re still not entirely set but while the dust is settling, so to speak, I thought the bedding would be a good place to start. Dreamtex have some really cool bedding for all ages; they’re an award winning boutique licensee who have an innovative and bespoke approach to licensed merchandise. One of the brands they represent is Playstation.
Toby’s lucky enough to have a double bed and we’ve sometimes struggled to find bedding that he likes. Teddy’s also at the stage where he likes to choose what kind of things go on his bed, though his is just a single. Luckily we just have a handful of options and he chooses from that, we’re not quite at the stage where he wants to decorate his room a certain way yet, though I’m sure it won’t be long.

Dreamtex have an incredible range that covers all stages from The Gruffalo to Little Mix, to PJ Masks and Call of Duty which means I can get bedding for both the boys from one place.
This PlayStation duvet is really decent quality; it’s not too soft that it’ll lose it’s shape but it’s not so stiff that it’s not comfortable and cosy. Toby is quite particular about how he has his bed too and he was quite happy to sleep in this – he told me it was ‘super duper’. The PlayStation set, depending on the retailer, is around £25 – which I don’t think is bad for a double, branded duvet.
It has a double sided design with the PlayStation control pad shapes on one side, along with the logo while if you flip it over you have this stunning blue colour with the PS logo and control pad shapes in pattern.
With easy poppers at the bottom, this duvet set would be the perfect for any PlayStation loving person in the house, most probably the teenagers!
