Review + Giveaway | Bambini and Me

Bambini and Me have released a new clothing collection that’s made from ethically sourced bamboo. I was kindly asked if I’d like to review it and so of course I said yes.

There’s nothing I love more than babies other than when they’re wearing lovely soft clothes that you can bury your nose into, breath in their smell and just feel how soft and lovely and snuggly they are.

If I honestly could’ve had one of everything, I would have. The collection is just beyond adorable and definitely something I’d have in either of the boys’ wardrobes, although they do only go up to 18 months.. sorry Tobes! The prints are quite kooky but aren’t overly outlandish, and they still manage to be super cute.

The vest and romper I chose arrived in individual boxes, which I loved. It’s great to have a little luxury packaging every now and again, but it also means they’re perfect to give as gifts. The vest is a typical over the head vest except it has poppers to open it just that little bit more, it’s quite similar to a baby grow. I opted to receive it in the grey colour with the elephant print and it suits Ted so well. It was true to size (6-12m) although probably a little on the snug side as Ted is now 11 months, but nonetheless it still fit. He could still move around it in pretty well and it was restricting in any way.

The romper, personally, was a little tight around the legs for Ted, although it was still pretty comfortable for him. It was still true to size as it would fit some 6-12 month olds. It’s a shame as I’d have loved this for the warmer weather, especially at night time with no vest on! The buttons round the legs do allow for a quick and easy bum change and I really loved the little rabbits on the front.

There are a couple of things I love about the choice of fabric. The first is that it’s so soft. Bamboo clothes are heavenly to the touch and this means that it’s great for baby’s skin. It doesn’t itch, won’t irritate and doesn’t pull at them either. Because bamboo is so soft it means that maximum comfort can be achieved. Believe me, if they did an adult romper in this fabric, I’d jump right in! I could happily blog in a bamboo onesie.

Bamboo helps with temperature control too which makes it the perfect fabric if you’re a little apprehensive about baby being too hot or too cold. It also wicks away moisture from the skin and ensures good air flow and breathability – which is perfect for Ted and his dribble at the moment! Argh, teething! The last, and probably most obvious, thing about bamboo fabric is that it’s totally eco-friendly. Who knew bamboo could be so multifunctional?
