It’s a funny time of year isn’t it, Spring and Summer? You just never know what to expect with the weather. Should the baby wear a long sleeved top? Is it still too cold for shorts? You’re always left guessing. But with Rockin Baby and their new Spring and Summer collection you can mix and match as the weather goes.
Founded in 2002 to provide slings to mothers around the world, they have expanded to offer new stylish slings and childrens’ wear with one of the best philanthropic missions I’ve heard of – “you buy, we give”. Rockin’ Baby aim to reach out to millions of children across the world by donating clothes to those who are less fortunate. For every piece of clothing sold from their new S/S16 collection, an item from their ‘Hero’ collection is gifted to a child in need. And with prices starting at £10, you can’t argue with that.
Now, on to the clothes. When Toby’s clothes first arrived, I was in shock at the colour. They were SO vibrant and I was actually convinced they weren’t going to suit him. With him having pale skin and rather strawberry blonde hair, I was a bit dubious about the oranges BUT I loved them when he got them on.
These are aged 2-3 and have lots of room to grow. Toby will be 3 in August and these fit him comfortably. They didn’t restrict his movement at all and he was able to play about freely in them, especially with all the running he does around the house. The one thing I loved about the printed shorts and top is that Toby recognised that they were lions straight away and so whenever he put them on we had ‘ROAR’ quite a few times a day when he noticed it. Personally, I probably wouldn’t pair either of the shorts with either of the t-shirts as I think it’d be a bit much, but I’ve been toning them down with darker colours and this really makes them stand out – we’ve had a couple of comments on how cool they are! So far, Rockin Baby are rockin’ this Spring and Summer!
Unlike some clothes you can really tell these are good quality clothes that are going to last. So far they haven’t stretched or lost their shape and they come up beautifully in the wash too! These clothes are so much fun, something which I think some retailers lack in their kid’s clothing department. Kids want to have fun so why not wear fun? Who wants to follow the crowd when you can have cool clothes like this, and still look fashionable? You can’t complain at higher prices either because you don’t pay any more than what you’d pay on the high street.
Ted’s also got his little collection going but he’s still such a little dot that he’s not quite ready to fit into them yet! However, these have all washed up super lovely as well and the designs are just oh so yummy! Look at that car print shirt; I just love it! Even though the weather is meant to be getting warmer, the shirts are long sleeved and are perfect for an occasion or a rainy day – well you might as well brighten them up!
The joggers and boat print t-shirt are perfect for a lazy Sunday. I adore having one day of the week where we’re super comfy, but these mean that if we decide to go out we can do so in style. I am loving this collection from Rockin Baby and I know you guys will too!
