Jump on the sweetie jar sleigh and let’s go for a retro ride. Everybody knows that a lot of people like to indulge at Christmas and that includes treats as well as going full hog, or turkey as it were, on the dinner. Whether it’s chocolate, biscuits, cheese or sweets there’s usually always a little something extra in the house.

Sweets can make great gifts, especially for those who become harder and harder to buy for or simply for those who have a sweeter tooth. A large retro sweetie jar will be going to one of the people on my Christmas list this year and it’ll be personalised with their name too. This sweet jar is full of nostalgia, childhood excitement and fond memories of days gone by.

The contents can vary slightly but you can expect to find the likes of Parma Violets, Fruit Salads, Cola Bottles, Love Hearts and Drum Stick lollies – all of which are smart and classic sweets that almost everyone has heard of and it means they cater for a variety of ages too.

This personalised retro sweetie jar is the large size which, at £24.99, contains 24 types of sweets and is around 4 litres in capacity. You are able to get these in the smaller size, for £16.99, which contains 12 types of sweets and is 1.8 litres in size. There’s even a little bit of space for you to put a few of your own sweets in if the recipient has a particular penchant for something.

It’s super bright, colourful and really versatile; there are sweets you can suck, others to lick and more to bite and chew. The sweets are all good sizes and individually packed for ease, too. It’ll be hard keeping your hand out of this sweetie jar before you give it as a gift.
