[AD] – I have been gifted products from shopDisney to create this post, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.
If there’s any opportunity to take photos of my boys, you can guarantee I’ll be there camera and all. Typically my photos are candid shots, rarely posed (because who can get 3 small children to all look the same way at once?) and usually get taken on my phone. When shopDisney got in touch asking me to create a little photoshoot to showcase some of their baby range I did a happy little dance.

I think, as a parent, you enjoy making these kind of memories with your children and I loved doing this one. Here’s a little behind the scenes and the final picture.
Choosing A Disney Character
shopDisney often have lots of character clothing to choose from but no character says ‘Disney’ quite like Mickey Mouse so I decided to choose him. He’s classic and cute so it was really easy for me to decide.
Recreating The Disney Magic With shopDisney
The hardest thing, I think, was choosing which film to recreate. I had originally intended to do Steamboat Willie, but after chatting with a friend we came up with the idea of Mickey Mouse’s ‘The Picnic’.
The Picnic is all about Mickey taking Minnie out in the summer time. Pluto is left to chase a rabbit, while Mickey and Minnie dance. Little do they know all the animals from the wood are taking off with their food, and then the rain starts.
I had an empty picnic basket, a little Pluto plush and Milo’s Mickey Mouse outfit. I guess I could have been his Minnie although there was no dancing.
Our shopDisney Photoshoot
I set up a little place for Milo to have his picture taken. Even though the sun had been shining it was far too cold to go and do this outside which was a shame, but we had fun nonetheless. I did wonder how long I’d have before Milo started having a melt down but he absolutely loved exploring the picnic basket and the little plushes.

You’ll also see the most gorgeous little Mickey Mouse shoes that we were sent. The little slip ons are the cutest things ever. I don’t know about you but I always take my shoes off if I’m sitting down for a picnic on the blanket and I assume Mickey Mouse would take his off too.
Toby was desperate to get in on the picture action, as you can see, but Teddy wasn’t so keen (told you it was hard getting them all together!).

I loved doing this, and really enjoyed having a little something to set up with a theme. After we’d finished I put Milo in another little Mickey Mouse outfit – his first time wearing some jeans – and this jumper is to die for. It feels quite trendy, with a hint of retro and I think I could happily wear one of these if it were available in my size.

If you could choose any Disney character, who would it be?
