Christmas Table Planning | Water Carafe

Ever since the extension started I had to keep reminding myself, when things were slow going or a bit tough, that “by Christmas next year” it would all be done and dusted. There would be no more workmen, no more kitchen fitter and we’d have everything in place. I mean, minus all the stuff we want to personalise it with, we have probably only just finished really and it’s been 13 months in the making.

One of the things I’ve been dreaming of, and planning in my head, is how to decorate the table at Christmas. I have a Pinterest board and all these ideas noted down about what I think I’d like, but then I see something even more beautiful and change my mind all over again.

Either way, there are going to be some staple items on the table. The plates and cutlery will undoubtedly be on there along with placemats, crackers and a water carafe. Every table needs a proper water carafe, especially when you’re hosting. I’ve found this gorgeous glass one with a ridged design from Sous Chef.

A water carafe on the table is a must, especially at Christmas

It has a wide pouring spout, holds over a litre of water and will look perfect in the centre of our table. I’m thinking a few cubes of ice, water and flavoured with, perhaps, a sprig of rosemary? I might even go for some orange slices like I have above to keep it festive.

Pop it in the middle of the table for you and your guests for a seamless serving of water! What will you add to yours?
